About The Author

Hi. My name's Crosbie Fitch.

Although many people have difficulty with the credibility of the idea behind the Digital Art Auction, I reckon that's simply because a) I've not yet figured out a convincing argument, and b) I've not yet got such a beastie up and running.

Believe me. In what spare time I have, I am working on both of these aspects.

As far as the argument goes, I've been posting the odd comment to SlashDot, responding to various other agitators angsting about copyright and p2p based file copying, writing a couple  of articles suggesting this kind of thing could be good for the games industry, and gradually adding to this web site.

Creation of an operational auction site is a fair bit of work (especially in one's spare time). I had hoped that the guys at e-pom might do this, and so I was happy to form a 'strategic alliance' with them. However, they're out of action for a while. In the interim I thought I'd have a go myself. So far, I've designed the SQL database schema, have interfaced this to Zope, and am currently sorting out user login/logout technicalities.

In case you're wondering about my professional background, I have a CV here.
